Garry Mendez III
Garry Mendez believes that everyone has a story. Garry helps people, brands, and causes craft theirs. Garry has led creative communications efforts for a diverse group of nonprofit organizations including the Jackie Robinson Foundation & Museum, One Economy Corporation, the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International, and Enterprise Community Partners. He has worked as a content marketer for a wide range of brands from one of the world’s largest actuarial firms to custom menswear brands. He has written about everything from efforts to rehabilitate the men of New York’s maximum-security prisons, to preserving the music of ancient Polynesian cultures.
After graduating from Hobart College, Garry intended to attend film school and become a screenwriter but a summer internship on an online magazine led to becoming a staff writer and art director. Instead of attending film school, Garry earned his Master’s degree in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore.
